On December 6, 2012, Gibbs Law Group associate Matthew George presented an overview of federal and state privacy laws during a Bridgeport Continuing Education seminar titled, “Privacy Litigation & Management: Strategies for Protection & Litigation” in San Francisco. During his presentation, Mr. George discussed the complex and continually changing requirements for the protection of private data, focusing on laws that impact consumers, social networking, and medical privacy. Mr. George has experience litigating consumer and medical privacy cases in both state and federal court.
This is the third time that Mr. George has participated in a Bridgeport CLE program. In October 2010 he gave a presentation on Developments in the Arbitration of Wage and Hour Disputes, and in May of this year he spoke on a panel at the 12th Annual Bridgeport Class Action & Management Conference, discussing settlement negotiation and implementation strategies.
