Simone White appointed Membership & Outreach Co-Chair of Consumer Attorneys of California Diversity Committee

Gibbs Law Group is thrilled to announce that our attorney Simone White has been appointed the Northern California Co-Chair of Membership and Outreach for the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) Diversity Committee.

As Membership and Outreach Co-Chair for Northern California, Simone plans to reach out to law schools to connect with diverse law students entering the profession in order to explain the role of California consumer attorneys in litigation and the legal field. Simone aims to connect with minority and women-owned law firms to invite owners to speak on panels as well as increase representation in CAOC membership. Simone also wants to use her position to connect with younger attorneys to provide more opportunities to delve into consumer law practice and work on cases.

About the CAOC Diversity Committee

The CAOC Diversity Committee aims to overcome disparities in representation within the plaintiffs’ bar and state bar, with the main goal of ensuring that consumer law practices in California reflect the diversity of the communities being served. The committee focuses on educating membership and the broader legal community on diversity topics as well as identifying and implementing strategies which work towards increasing diversity in the legal space. Meetings occur on the last Friday of every month from 12:00pm-12:30pm PST and are open to all members of the CAOC and attorneys who practice consumer law.

Simone has devoted her legal career to helping vulnerable populations navigate complex legal challenges. She currently represents clients in a variety of mass tort, sexual abuse, and employment law cases. Simone is also a key member of Gibbs Law Group’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force which works to advance equity both inside and outside the firm by promoting diversity among employees, the clients we represent, and the causes we support.
