Lauren Martinez
Lauren works on a range of cases, including data breaches, bank fee lawsuits, California wildfires, and works to develop potential consumer protection cases.
Prior to joining Gibbs Mura, Lauren spent several years as a college tutor, eventually working with Mount Tamalpais College (formerly known and the Prison University Project) where she advocated for the individual needs of her students, many of whom faced severe barriers to education both before and during their incarceration.
Lauren was an Art of Advocacy writing fellow, graduating with a degree in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley, with a focus on Technology Ethics. She utilizes her experience in community outreach and organizing to stand up for clients seeking accountability from corporations and is passionate about helping others be informed on and fight for their legal rights. When she’s not working, you’ll find her outdoors, wrangling her dog, or naively optimistic about a new hobby.
