Gibbs Mura 2L Summer Associates

About the Gibbs Mura 2L Summer Program

Gibbs Mura seeks exceptional 2L law students to join us for a paid, 10-week summer program. During your time at the firm, you will join our litigation teams to work on class and mass action matters in areas that include consumer protection, digital privacy, products liability, personal injury, and employment law in federal courts, state courts, and arbitration. Our summer associates have drafted portions of legal briefs, conducted in-depth research assignments, assisted attorneys in preparing for depositions, and participated in client intake work. We also seek to provide every summer associate with opportunities to observe court hearings, depositions, and arbitrations, as cases permit.

In addition to your casework, Gibbs Mura provides weekly trainings on substantive areas of the law, practical skills, and insights into building a career as a plaintiffs’ attorney. We want to provide our summer associates with a solid foundation to begin their careers as advocates for consumers and workers harmed by corporate misconduct.

Summer associates will be paid a first-year associate salary of $160,000, prorated for the weeks spent with the firm.

What Materials Do I Need to Apply?

A complete application will include:

  1. A cover letter explaining your interest in representing plaintiffs in complex litigation, and in working at Gibbs Mura in particular
  2. A resume
  3. A law school transcript with your complete first-year of grades
  4. A legal writing sample no more than 25 pages double spaced—it may be shorter, even substantially shorter, but please do not shorten an otherwise complete writing sample.

How Do I Apply?

We are not currently accepting applications for the 2L summer program, and expect to open applications in the late spring or early summer for summer positions in 2027.
