Event details: Friday, October 9th from 5-10 PM | The Green Room, San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center | 401 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94102
The gala’s keynote speaker will be Ghassan Shamieh, Managing Partner at the Law Offices of Shamieh, Shamieh & Ternieden, a San Francisco immigration firm. The evening will include a cocktail hour, a performance by Mariachi Nueva Generación, dinner prepared by Chef Carlos Melgar of Culinary Eye, and dancing with DJ Enz.
Gala Honorees:
La Raza Centro Legal will be honoring three champions of justice: a group of former immigration judges who courageously spoke out against their unjust firing by the Department of Homeland Security; Lydia Chavez, founder of Mission Local and a tireless independent journalist on immigrant issues; and Amanda Alvarado Ford, La Raza Centro Legal’s former Executive Director.
