GG Announces New Partners Matthew George and David Stein

Gibbs Law Group is pleased to announce Matthew George and David Stein as the firm’s most recently named partners. “Matt George and David Stein have proven their leadership skills at our firm and their advocacy skills in the courtroom,” said Daniel Girard, the firm’s managing partner. “They have demonstrated they are committed to high standards of professionalism and we are pleased that they will be joining us as partners.”
Since joining the firm in 2008, Mr. George has successfully represented plaintiffs in complex litigation, with particular expertise in employment, privacy, and consumer fraud cases. His notable cases include recovering unpaid overtime for merchandiser employees in a lawsuit against Acosta Sales & Marketing, as well as winning a two-week arbitration on behalf of misclassified sales employees against a Fortune 500 company.
For the past three years Mr. George has been selected as a Rising Star by Northern California Super Lawyers. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and received his undergraduate degree in political science and criminal justice, magna cum laude, from Chapman University in 2002, where he was a Presidential Scholar.
Since joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Stein has specialized in consumer protection and financial fraud cases. He has successfully represented plaintiffs against a number of Fortune 100 companies. His notable cases include obtaining cash reimbursements for purchasers of Prius vehicles in a lawsuit against Toyota, as well as helping to secure a judgment against the Government of Guam in a lawsuit involving the government’s unlawful administration of income tax refunds.
For the last two years Mr. Stein has been named a Rising Star by Northern California Super Lawyers. He is a 2007 graduate of the Emory University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003.
