What is the Winnebago Grand Design RV Frame Defect?
Consumers have reported that Winnebago’s Grand Design RVs may have a defective frame. Customers have reported excessive frame flex and broken frames, leading to structural damage and costly repairs. Despite the potential safety risks and costumer concern surrounding the “flex” frame defect, Winnebago has allegedly attempted to evade controversy by using NDAs, buybacks, and online censorship of customer complaints.
Who has been affected by the Grand Design RV defect?
Thousands of Grand Design RV units may be affected by the frame defect. According to Hunterbrook Media, an independent repair shop found that 70% of the Grand Design RVs it examined determined that there were issues with the frame. Additionally, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received 125 complaints about 2020-2023 models, 91 of which mention frame issues, according to Hunterbrook.
