What Happened with the Caesars Data Breach

Caesars Entertainment has acknowledged that in early September of 2023, hackers stole a copy of a database containing the personal information of a “significant number” of its loyalty “Rewards” customers. According to Caesars, the stolen data includes Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers for a significant number of Rewards members. In addition, Caesars has acknowledged that “other data” was stolen, but it has not said how many individuals were affected.

Class Action Lawsuits for the Caesars Data Breach

Several class action lawsuits already have been filed against Caesars relating to the data breach. Gibbs Law Group would seek compensation for the data breach victims, who are a “significant number” of Caesars’ 65 million Rewards customers. Equally important, Gibbs Law Group would force Caesars to fix its apparently ineffective information security systems to protect the data from future data breaches.

Our data breach attorneys have extraordinary experience and expertise in this area. Gibbs Law Group partner David Berger was appointed co-lead counsel to fight for over 10 million MGM customers whose information was stolen in a similar data breach in 2020.
