On April 15, 2026, Judge LaShonda A. Hunt granted final approval to a$7.1 million settlement for the class action lawsuit against Grubhub. The lawsuit alleged that Grubhub added restaruants to its websites and apps, including Grubhub, Eat24, Seamless, Tapingo, LevelUp, OrderUp, MenuPages, AllMenus, and BiteGrabber, without consent to expand the Grubhub’s marketplace.
What was the Grubhub Fraudulent Restaurant Listing Lawsuit About?
Two well-known restaurants filed a lawsuit on behalf of affected restaurants throughout the country alleging that Grubhub intentionally included them them on its delivery and takeout website and mobile app platform without permission. The lawsuit stated that by placing restaurants, including their names and logos, on its website without authorization, Grubhub created confusion for consumers and harmed the restaurants’ reputation and business operation.
